Caring For Our Rivers
At Hard Lines, we believe in supporting the spaces and communities around us and doing what we can to have a positive impact.
That’s why we’re proud to support Save Our Rivers through our commitment to 1% for the Planet. By contributing 1% of our annual sales, we’re helping support organisations working to protect the natural environments we all rely on.
Save Our Rivers is a grassroots movement dedicated to protecting and restoring rivers. Their team works hard to raise awareness of threats such as pollution, over-extraction, and habitat destruction, while promoting sustainable river management and responsible practices.
Rivers are an important part of Wales’ landscape, providing habitats for an incredible variety of plants and wildlife. But they’re under increasing pressure from pollution, development and climate change. We support Save Our Rivers because of their work to protect the health of our rivers and the biodiversity that depends on them.
This September, we also joined in with the Home River Bioblitz, encouraging people across Wales to get outside, explore local waterways and record the plants and wildlife they discover. Every observation helps build a better understanding of the biodiversity in our rivers, and the more we know, the better placed we are to protect them.
“In Wales we have some incredible natural spaces right on our doorsteps, and we think it’s important that businesses play their part in looking after them. We’re really pleased to be able to support work that brings people closer to nature and gives them a reason to care about what’s around them. I've really enjoyed these recent projects and look forward to more collaborations with a cause." Sophie Smith, Director & Founder of Hard Lines.
We’re proud to support Save Our Rivers and encourage everyone to get involved.
